First Book

First Book

First Book is a nonprofit, social enterprise that provides new books and educational resources to children in need because they believe every child deserves equal access to quality education.

At First Book, they envision a world in which all children have equal access to quality education. They tackle a pervasive and entrenched issue impacting more than 32 million children in the U.S. and Canada: the scarcity of books, educational resources, and basic need items for children in need. To this end, they amplify the voices of educators serving low-income children and partner with industry leaders in order to provide affordable, sustainable access to best-in-class educational resources. Since 1992, they have distributed more than 150 million books and currently serve more than 275,000 educators working with children in need.
